For a perfect fit, it's crucial to take accurate measurements when ordering a custom exotic leather jacket. Any inaccuracies can lead to discomfort, so follow these instructions carefully.
General
Guidelines Before Measuring:
✔ Wear light clothing or take measurements on bare
skin—avoid bulky garments.
✔ Stand straight without slouching or tensing your body.
✔ Do not pull or loosen the measuring tape—it should fit
snugly but not squeeze.
✔ Do not round up or down—precision is key for the best fit.
✔ Take measurements in the evening, as the body may slightly
change in size throughout the day.
Key Measurements for a Jacket
1. Jacket Length
Measure from the base of the neck
(where the shoulder meets the neck) down the center of the back to the desired
jacket length. The measuring tape should be snug but not tight—avoid stretching
or loosening it.
2. Shoulder Length
Place the measuring tape slightly
below the shirt collar and extend it along the shoulder to determine its
length. Make sure the tape follows the natural curve of the shoulder without
slack or tension.
3. Chest Circumference
Measure around the fullest part of
the chest, keeping the measuring tape level with the armpits. The tape should
fit snugly against the body without being too tight or too loose.
4. Waist circumference
Find the narrowest place in
the waist area and clamp it with a measuring tape - this will be the waist
circumference. The main thing at this point is not to pull in your
stomach, relax and accept your normal state. This will ensure you have
the correct proportions of the jacket.
5. Distance from shoulder to waist
This measurement is taken from
the front from the base of the shoulder (at the neck), by lowering the
measuring tape through the most prominent point on the chest and ending at the
waist. You probably know where your waist is because you have measured
its circumference before.
6. Sleeve length
Start measuring from the point where the shoulder ends. The arm should be slightly bent at the elbow. Find the bone of the thumb on the hand and lower the tape just below it, to the middle of the first phalanx.
7. Arm circumference (biceps)
We measure the widest area at the top of the arm by covering it with tape. The tape fits snugly around the arm without straining or sagging.
8. Wrist circumference
Determine the narrowest part of your wrist and measure it with a measuring tape.
9. Hip circumference
It is necessary to measure the
hips by clamping them in a circle near the bottom of the proposed jacket (you
determined it in point 1). The tape should not be stretched or too loose, it is
important to fix it tightly on the body.
If you follow these tips strictly, doing everything right, you will end up with the jacket of your dreams. This thing made of python leather will bring you joy and pamper you with comfort for many years.
Additional Notes:
- If you prefer a slim fit, let us know if you'd like extra room for movement.
- If the jacket will have insulation, consider additional space for layering.
- If you're ordering a fur-trimmed collar, be sure to measure the desired collar height.
